Col. Floyd is a Federally-funded elderly/disabled development consisting of 60 one-bedroom units in two story, garden-style apartment buildings with four units per entrance. Each apartment has a back balcony. Each of the apartments must be reach by stairs. The Manager's office is located on the first floor of the nearby elderly/disabled development of John W. Kickham Apartments at 190 Harvard Street.

The development is wonderfully situated just blocks away from Coolidge Corner, Beacon and Harvard Streets, places of worship, the Stop and Shop, Trader Joe's and many stores and restaurants. The Green Line's "C", Beacon Street, trolley stop is two blocks away and the #66 bus with a route between Harvard Square and Dudley Station stops one block away.
